Riverside Park Children's Ministry

at Riverside Baptist Church

Goal:

To reach and transform lives, we will partner with parents to help children build relationships, follow Jesus, love others and ultimately reach families. We will accomplish this by providing experiences that are bible-based, relevant to children today and safe for children and leaders.

Mission:

To guide children, their families and leaders as they build strong relationships with God and each other.

Vision:

To provide a variety of opportunities for children, families, and leaders to receive encouragement and training as they grow in relationship to God and others.

Our Children's Ministry is made up of many different ministries.

  • Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. we have Children's Ministry Key Groups. These Key Groups are for Babies - Preteens (6th graders), which include Bible study, scripture reading, worship, crafts, and games that help them to understand the Bible and grow in a relationship with God and each other.
  • On Sunday Evenings we have Children's Choir (Voices of Riverside Park) available from 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. for 1st - 6th grade. The Children have been involved in the Singing Christmas Tree, and have performed on different occasions through out the year. If you have a child who is interested in music we invite you to join us.
  • On Wednesday Evenings from 6:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. is a time where children 2 years old through 6th grade can learn about missions. Through GA (Girls in Action, girls 1st - 6th grade), RA (Royal Ambassadors, boys 1st - 6th grade), or Mission Friends (2year olds - Kindergarten), they will learn what it means to be a missionary and what they do; pray for missionaries and their work; discover how they can help other people, how they can help tell others about Jesus, and learn about people around the world. There is childcare available for children that are not involved in the programs, so that parents may enjoy going to Riverside's prayer meetings, or Bible study.
  • The Children's Ministry also offers a Puppet Ministry. This ministry meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. for people 10 years of age and up. This ministry involves puppets, drama, and behind the scenes activities. Training is done for everyone, so if you are not familiar with puppets or are not sure what it's about we encourage you to come check it out.
