WHO WE ARE
Church on a Journey
Riverside organized as a church in the Riverside area near downtown Miami on October 13, 1921. The church remained downtown for over fifty years and experienced tremendous growth through the 1960's. A demographic shift in the late 1960's caused a decline in church membership, and the congregation faced the difficult decision of moving from its downtown location into the suburb of Kendall, our present location, in 1974. Today, Riverside is a multi-cultural congregation whose members come from many nations speaking various languages. We are a microcosm of our community, and we are devoted to reaching our community and city for Christ, one person at a time
Our Mission Statement
Riverside Baptist Church exists to INVITE people to Christ, GROW them in Christ and SEND them for Christ.
Our Doctrinal Statement
We agree with the statement of the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by theSouthern Baptist Convention on June 14, 2000.Click Here to Read the Baptist Faith and Message
Our values describe for us the kind of church in which we want to "live and move and have our being."
Jesus will be at the center of our lives so that all we do and say will look and sound like what Jesus would do and say.
The Bible is God's inspired Word (2 Timothy). We are committed to studying it and applying it to our lives.
“Grace” is the way that God does things. Grace forgives and gives. Since that is the way God loves us, it is the way we want to love God and others.
Jesus lived on mission for His Father and in service for all peoples. We will live out His mission everyday.
